Rough Country Speedometer Calibrator | 2016-2023 Tacoma 4WD

If you've sized up the tires on your 3rd Gen Tacoma, your speedometer is lying to you. The truck's computer calculates speed off the stock tire height, so once you go bigger, the readout drifts, the odometer logs miles at the wrong rate, and your transmission is shifting off numbers that aren't true anymore. Rough Country's inline Speedometer Calibrator fixes that.

It's a plug and play unit that connects at the Diagnostic Link Connector port (that's the OBD port under your dash, the same one the dealer plugs into). No splicing, no cutting. Set it up for your tire size and your speedo reads right again, your ECM shift points get updated for the larger tires, and your electronic stability control gets recalibrated too. That last one matters more than people think: stability control makes decisions based on wheel speed, so feeding it accurate numbers keeps the safety systems doing their job the way Toyota intended.

Expect 1 to 2 hours for the install, and software updates are available for download to keep the unit current. We keep these in stock, ready to ship.

- Rough Country calls this a standalone unit that's not compatible with plug-in performance programmers. Good news for our customers: it DOES work with our in-person OTT tuning. Running some other setup? Message us before you order and we'll make sure everything plays nice.
- Once it's programmed, it locks to your VIN. It stays married to that truck until it's returned to stock settings, so it's not a unit you can pass around between rigs.
- Fits 4WD trucks only, 2016 to 2023.
